This car guard’s behaviour is disgusting

Jaco writes by email: About three weeks ago my wife informed me that she was made to feel uncomfortable (harassed) by a slender looking male car guard at a shopping centre in Brakpan.

At first I thought nothing of it, but then noticed that my wife refused to go to the store alone, as it happened again, a few days later.

She says he targets females as they are getting out of and into their cars.

On Friday she asked me to get something from the shop for her.

As I was coming out, there was a lady in front of me and we started walking in the same direction.

Immediately, the slender looking man started talking to her and, from what I could deduce, it sounded like sexual harassment.

He even told her that he would come and visit her at her home, and that she is very good looking.

Now for me to be hearing how he spoke to this lady, made me think that he most probably harassed my wife in the same manner.

This made me furious.

Women should never, ever be harassed or disrespected in any way.

Now you have some disgusting man harassing women outside the place where they need to do shopping for their families!

In this day and age, I feel that having car guards in the first place is unnecessary. In the eight years that I have been shopping there, I have never heard of or seen any crime involving cars.

The parking lot does not have any guards anywhere near any of the shops, except for this one.

The fact that my wife feels she cannot go to this shop alone, for fear of harassment, is shocking and absolutely disgusting.

I’m sure that more women will come forward and say the same.

You are losing business. Wake up!

The other question I have is: when will this harassment be translated into deeds?
