Weekend crime round-up
According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:
* Friday
A handbag was stolen from a car parked along Voortrekker Road.
Burglars stole paint, tools and a bicycle from a business along Boundary Road.
* Saturday
A laptop, cellphone and handbag were stolen during a buglary at a home along Lukas Steyn Road, Withok Estates.
A computer and two airguns (pistols) were stolen from a Kitzinger Street business.
* Sunday
A home along Ellis Street, Brakpan North, was burgled.
A television set, DVD player, games console, duvet cover and home theatre sound system were stolen.
A man was robbed of his cash while walking along Kingsway Avenue at 4.35am.
The lone robber approached the man, grabbed his shirt, assaulted him and demanded his money.
The man handed over R90, which the robber took.
He then hit the man again, and fled.
The robber was arrested shortly afterwards by an EMPD officer.
