Weekend crime round-up

The attacker searched the victim and took R360.

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A home along Derby Avenue was burgled of two television sets, two cellphones and a laptop.

* A patron at a bar along Prince George Avenue was robbed of cash.

The victim was assaulted in the men’s toilet at around 8pm by a man known to him.

The attacker searched the victim and took R360.

* Batteries were stolen from a truck parked at Mall@Carnival.

* A car parked at an address along Park Street was broken into.

Books, a welding torch, a cellphone and a pair of spectacles were stolen.

* A green Nissan Sentra was stolen from Craigholm Street, in Dalview.

The car was taken between 6.40pm and 8pm.

• Saturday – Two television sets and a portable storage device were stolen from a home along Jennet Street, in Brenthurst.

* A business situated along Uranium Road, in Vulcania, was broken into, and a computer was stolen.

* Two cars were stolen – a white Nissan Sentra from the corner of Kingsway Avenue and Prince George Avenue, and an orange Volkswagen Golf  from an address along Northdene Avenue.

• Sunday – Cash and a cellphone were stolen from a car parked along Kingsway Avenue.

Other:

• Thursday – Two business burglaries were reported.

These took place at addresses along Queen Avenue and Goods Road.

Stolen items include computers, a cash register and a tablet.

* Two cellphones, a laptop, a games console and a camera were stolen from a home along Zeeman Street, in Brenthurst.

* A car parked along Stoffberg Avenue was broken into.

The vehicle’s radio was stolen.
