The workshop owner agreed and accompanied the man, who demanded he drive his own car.

The pair later picked up a hitchhiker at a petrol station in Brenthurst, who asked for a ride to the Far East Rand Hospital.

While en route to the hospital, along Boundary Road, the hitchhiker pointed a gun at the workshop owner and demanded his cellphone and money, which he handed over.

When the driver stopped the car at a stop street, a second man climbed into the car and demanded money.

The victim and his client were then forced out of the car, and the robbers drove off.

The client paid the workshop owner a portion of the money owed to him and left the scene.
