• You are an executive member of the Learner Representative Council. Did you ever think you would be in this position?
No, I did not quite expect ever to be head girl.
• What are some of your duties?
Amongst others, I have the duty of hoisting the South African flag every morning and taking it down again at the end of the day.
I also have to address parents at parents’ meetings and assist the teachers when there is a function at school.
• What school subject do you enjoy the most? Why?
I love natural sciences because we learn more about nature.
• Which subject is your least favourite? Why?
My least favourite is technology because all we do is build, build, build, and I’m not a very good designer.
• Do you play sport or participate in extra-mural activities? Do you have any hobbies?
I mostly like singing – it relieves my mind and my soul.
• What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be a school teacher – not because of the money, but because I want to educate young minds so that this world can be a much better place.
• Do you think there is hope for the young people of this country?
Yes I do, because all the teachers and our parents put in their time and effort so that we can get educated.
• If you had one wish that could come true, what would it be?
I wish that this world we are living in could be a clean and peaceful world, where there is no crime and hatred.
• Who or what inspires you?
My family.
• What is your favourite food?
A Big Mac from McDonalds.
