Daily crime watch

The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (June 14 to 15):

Cases reported:

• Theft out of motor vehicle: 1
• Theft of motor vehicle: 3
• General theft: 4
• Fraud: 1
• Business burglary: 1
• Common assault: 3
• Housebreaking and theft: 1
• Reckless driving: 1

Arrests:

• Theft: 2

Burglary:

• Rangeview Road, in Dalpark (business).

The break-in took place yesterday (Wednesday).

Stolen: A laptop and two laptop chargers.

• Regents Avenue.

The home was burgled on Tuesday.

Stolen: Two cellphones, a tablet and a TV.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A white Volkswagen Polo was stolen from Civin Road, in Sonneveld.

The car was stolen between 7.30pm on Tuesday and 7.30am, yesterday.

• A purple Hyundai Accent was stolen from the corner of Queen Avenue and High Street.

The vehicle was stolen on Tuesday between 3.45pm and 4pm.

• A white Toyota Hi-Ace minibus was stolen from Gardiner Avenue.

The minibus was taken between 9pm on Tuesday and 9.45am, yesterday.

Theft out of/from motor vehicle:

• A car parked at an address along McCullum Avenue, in Brakpan North, was broken into.

The vehicle’s radio, a wristwatch and cosmetics were stolen.

The car was broken into between 8pm on Tuesday and sometime yesterday morning.
