Daily crime watch

The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (July 11 to 12):

Cases reported:

• Robbery with firearm: 1
• Speeding: 6
• Theft out of motor vehicle: 2
• Assault GBH: 1
• Intimidation: 1
• Residential burglary: 1
• General theft: 3
• Pointing of firearm: 1
• Using drugs: 1

Arrests:

• Speeding: 6
• Pointing of firearm: 1
• Possession of drugs: 1

Armed robbery:

• Three armed men robbed a security guard of his cellphone, radio and panic button at a transport company along First Road, in Vulcania.

The incident took place at about 3.55am, yesterday (Tuesday), when the guard was confronted by the trio and held at gunpoint.

The robbers fled on foot when a truck drove up to the property.

Burglary:

• Koos Vorster Avenue, in Minnebron.

The break-in took place on Monday.

Stolen: Power tools and a radio.

Two cars on the property were stripped of their mag wheels.

A radio and an amplifier were also stolen from one of the vehicles.

Theft out of/from a motor vehicle:

• A laptop was stolen from a car parked along Voortrekker Road, on Saturday.

• A car badge was stolen from a vehicle parked at Carnival City, on Monday.
