Something for everyone at first ever Carnival Market

There will be a beer garden, free ice-skating, a mini carousel, bumper cars, a children’s playground, face painting, artisanal stalls and delicious food.

Carnival City is launching its first ever Carnival Market in September.

The market at the outdoor Pocket Park area will feature stalls and exhibits of handcrafted goods, clothing, artisanal drinks and other products on the first Sunday of every month – the first being Sunday, September 3.

Entrance is free and the market opens at 10am.

The family-styled Carnival Market boasts something for everyone, with live entertainment by well-known singer and SAMA nominee Pieter Koen and singer and Getroud Met Rugby actress Anlia van Rensburg.

There will be a beer garden, free ice-skating, a mini carousel, bumper cars, a children’s playground, face painting, artisanal stalls and delicious food.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of stalls which will include craft beer, the Gin Tin, vintage wines, African handmade crafts, beaded jewellery, sand art, Paella, prawns, calamari, craft burgers and baguettes, dim sum, samoosas and biryanis, crystal kaleidoscopes, French crepes, pancakes, stuffed olives, trinkets, treasures, gifts, pates, chilli sauces, Pestos, baby apparel, clothing, pewter jewellery, succulents, artisanal cheeses, bespoke crochet items, cupcakes, handbags, sling bags, fashion, detox juices and smoothies, milkshakes, coffee, cold drinks, home-made toffee, fudge, toffee apples and so much more.
