The following cases were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (March 1 to 2):

Cases reported:

• House robbery: 1

House robbery:

• A Taft Avenue family was robbed in their home yesterday morning (Thursday).

Three men – one armed with a gun, one with a brick and the other with a baton, broke into the house at about 4.15am.

They fled with a TV, cellphones, jewellery and other household items.

Common robbery:

• A woman was robbed at the corner of Kitzinger Avenue and Park Street yesterday.

The incident took place at around 11am as the victim was tending to her children.

A thief grabbed her handbag and nappy bag, which the victim had placed on the ground, and ran off.

The bags contained cash, personal documents, nappies and medicine.

Burglary:

• Tweedy Road, Brenthurst (business).

The break-in took place on Wednesday.

Stolen: A window was forcefully opened but nothing was taken.

• North Avenue, Anzac.

The home was burgled on Wednesday.

Stolen: Liquor and a TV.

• Victoria Avenue (business).

Three men were found inside the building on Wednesday.

Nothing was stolen and two suspects were arrested. The third suspect evaded arrest.

• Taft Avenue.

Two burglaries took place in separate incidents – a business was burgled of a radio and fan on Wednesday and a house was broken into yesterday.

While nothing was taken from the home, a window was broken and a suspect was found on the property.

The suspect was linked to the business burglary and the stolen radio and fan were recovered.

• Augrabies Avenue, Dalpark.

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: Gardening equipment. A suspect was arrested.

• Msasa Avenue, Leachville.

The home was burgled yesterday.

Stolen: Two TVs and jewellery.

• Swarthaak Street, Dalpark.

The residence was broken into yesterday.

Stolen: A TV, iPad, laptop and jewellery.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A silve Opel Corsa bakkie was stolen from Kingsway Avenue yesterday.

Theft out of motor vehicle:

• Medicine was stolen from a car parked along Kitzinger Avenue on Wednesday.
