Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – Cables were stolen from a business along Uranium Road in Vulcania.

* Two break-ins took place.

A computer was stolen from a home in Albert Street, Brenthurst, and cash, clothes and bedding were stolen from an address along Jones Avenue.

• Saturday – Three motorbikes were stolen from an address in Strange Avenue.

• Sunday – An employee at a Prince George Avenue internet café was pepper-sprayed during a robbery.

Two men entered the shop around 10pm and demanded money.

They fled with a small amount of cash, keys and other valuables.

* Batteries were stolen from a truck parked along Rangeview Road in Dalpark.

* Clothes, jewellery and a laptop were stolen during a break-in at a home along Sports Way Street in Anzac.

Other cases reported:

• Thursday – A white Mahindra bakkie was stolen from an address along Ellis Street in Brakpan North.

* A Wenden Avenue residence was burgled of a TV, laptop and cellphone.

• Shoplifting: 5
• Housebreaking and theft: 1
