The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (January 30 to 31):

Cases reported:

• Sexual assault: 2
• Cruelty to animals: 1
• Business burglary: 1
• Inquest: 1

• Assault GBH: 1
• Armed robbery: 1
• Possession of drugs: 3

Arrests:

• Theft: 1
• Cruelty to animals: 1
• Possession of drugs: 1
• Dealing in drugs: 1
• Illegal immigrants: 1
• Drug trafficking: 1
• Possession of housebreaking implements: 2

Armed robbery:

• A pedestrian was robbed of his cellphone in Dalpark Extension 11 on Tuesday.

While walking along Lawrence Road at about 2pm, the victim was stopped by four occupants in a white Volkswagen Polo.

The men threatened the victim with a gun and demanded his belongings.

Burglary:

• Blyde Avenue, Leachville.

The break-in took place on Tuesday.

Stolen: A TV, laptop, clothing and food.

• Hendrik Street, Sunair Park.

The burglary took place on Sunday.

Stolen: A gaming console and a chainsaw.

• Graaf Street, Sunair Park (business).

The premises were burgled on Tuesday.

Stolen: Cash.
