Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

 • Friday – A home in Dikbas Crescent, Dalpark Extension Six, was burgled of a TV, a kettle and clothes.

* Truck batteries were stolen from a business along Siding Avenue.

* The driver of a delivery vehicle was hijacked in Vulcania.

Two men confronted the victim as he was returning to the white NP200 bakkie after making a delivery at a company along Lemmer Road at about 10.30am.

A vehicle tracking company recovered the bakkie in Reedville, Springs, with some of its cargo missing.

• Saturday – Clothes and a weed eater were stolen from a home in Botha Road, Brenthurst.

* A yellow Jonway motorcycle was stolen from an address along Waldeck Street in Brakpan North.

* Cash was stolen during a break-in at a business along Kitzinger Avenue.

* A car parked in Queen Avenue was broken into and a handbag was stolen.

The bag contained cash, an ID book, a driver’s licence and bank cards.

* A man was robbed of his Volkswagen Microbus after advertising it for sale on a popular online classified site.

The victim was contacted by a man who agreed to purchase the vehicle and the car was collected on behalf of the buyer at an address along Station Road.

The victim received a payment notification from the bank leading him to believe the money was successfully deposited, but it never cleared in his account.

* The female driver of a white BMW 320i was hijacked along New Kleinfontein Road in Leachville.

Three gunmen threatened the victim as she pulled up at an address along the street at about 10.30pm.

The car was recovered in Benoni.

• Sunday – A laptop and a welding machine were stolen from a residence along Devon Street in Dalview.
