According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (April 8 to 9):

Business robbery:

• A gang of robbers made off with a construction vehicle, truck tyres, a generator and a toolbox after robbing an Anzac company on Sunday evening.

Two men armed with guns confronted a security guard on the Main Reef Road premises at about 8.15pm.

They tied him to a chair in the guardroom and robbed him of his wallet, a cellphone, two handheld radios and a pair of safety boots.

It is believed more robbers arrived on the property and the victim heard movement in the yard until around midnight.

The guard was found and untied by a colleague arriving for work at 5.30am on Monday (yesterday).

Burglary:

• Lotus Avenue, Kenleaf.

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: TVs, a speaker and a cellphone.

• Jones Avenue.

The burglary occurred yesterday.

Stolen: A wheel barrow, gardening equipment and tools.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A silver Mahindra XUV500 was stolen from an address in Northdene Avenue yesterday.

Theft from motor vehicle:

• On Sunday, a bakkie parked along Mitchell Crescent in Brenthurst was stripped of its wheels.
