According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (June 26 to 27):

Cases reported:

• Speeding: 2
• Contravention of rental housing regulation: 1
• Residential burglary: 2
• Business robbery: 1
• Possession of stolen property: 1
• Accident: 1
• Fraud: 2
• Theft: 6
• Reckless driving: 1
• Theft of motor vehicle: 1
• Business burglary: 1
• Shoplifting: 2

Arrests:

No information was provided.

Business robbery:

• A petrol station along Prince George Avenue in Brenthurst was robbed by three men yesterday morning (Wednesday).

They entered the shop on the premises around 9.30am and threatened staff members at gunpoint.

The robbers fled with cellphones, cash, cigarettes and bars of chocolate.

Burglary:

• Prince George Avenue.

The home was burgled on Monday.

Stolen: Laptops, camping equipment and other valuables.

• Ruth Street, Sunair Park.

The break-in took place on Tuesday.

Stolen: A TV. A car on the premises was stripped of its wheels.

• Greer Street, Vulcania (business).

The company was broken into on Monday.

Stolen: Electrical cables and wires.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• On Tuesday, a white trailer was stolen from an address along Strauss Street in Van Eck Park.
