Four nabbed for drug possession
EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members acted on a tip-off.
Three women and a man were arrested in separate incidents by the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit for possession of drugs.
The arrests were made in Geluksdal on Thursday evening, last week.
According to EMPD spokesperson, Kobeli Mokheseng, the unit members acted on information received from concerned members of the community.
Two women, aged 20 and 25, were arrested at an address along Falcon Crescent around 8.30pm.

They were found in possession of 34 ziplock bags of crystal meth, 105 ziplock bags of khat and one large plastic bag of khat.
Almost R1 000 in cash was confiscated.
The drugs are valued at R31 300.
Shortly afterwards, at 8.45pm, officers arrived at an address along Kanna Curve, where a man and a woman, aged 51 and 48, were arrested after 10 small packets of khat and 39 ziplock bags of crystal meth, valued at R14 000, were uncovered.

R5 000 cash was seized from the couple.
“The arrested foursome, who are facing charges of possession and dealing in illicit substances, were detained at the Tsakane Police Station,” added Mokheseng.
