A gospel show not to be missed

The first-ever Mapostola Breaking Ground at Carnival City this month promises to be one of the biggest gospel events on the 2020 calendar.
With an exceptionally diverse and dynamic assembly of experts in song, choreography and dance, it would be impossible for any concert-goer to leave not feeling inspired and spiritually uplifted.
There are several choirs and artists in the line-up including Lejwe la Motheo AD, Isaac and the Mighty Messengers, Barorisi ba Morena, Mighty Oh Lord Singers, The Holy Saints, Temple of God Original, Powerhouse Mamelodi, Piba and Hosea AD, Balatedi ba Morena Mabopane and Bana ba Thaba ya Sinai.
Lebo Sekgobela is not a “clap and tap” artist per se but she will be featured on the line-up as a guest artist, performing in support of this historic event in praise and worship.

Barorisi ba Morena, established in 1965 and still going strong, is essentially responsible for inspiring the formation of the other choirs which are performing at this event and continue to be opinion shapers in this industry.
Having scooped over 50 awards and amassed over 200 nominations in the gospel category, the artists in this choir are experts at what they do.
Lejwe la Motheo has also shown exceptional growth over the past few years and attracts a large crowd everywhere they perform.
This consistent group has become known for how disciplined it is and the thoroughly professional manner in which members conduct themselves.
Similarly, the Holy Saints group also boasts a large and loyal following.
With the exception of Bana ba Thaba ya Sinai (who also have two released albums) these talented choirs are all well-established crème de la crème acts not to be missed.
The most exciting development choir and one to keep an eye on is definitely Lejwe.
With eight powerful best-selling albums, this award-winning choir is currently the leading up tempo choir and has a great multitude of followers within its genre and outside its comfort zone.
“This is not just music,” said an excited Ntoko Mogotsi, event organiser.

The show take place from 4pm on February 29 in the Big Top Arena.
