A town with no pity

As for the rest of the town, it continues to look like a filthy toilet bowl.

Peter Bachtis from Benoni writes:
Brakpan, once an attractive and well-run town, has fallen foul of a mampara or three.

The road leading into the town fell between the cracks, the garbage dump on the one side and the filthy hell hole known as Plastic City on the other – a pitiful sight for any visitor to this town.

The road imploded some months ago, and no effort has been made to repair this very important link. Or to put it differently, no one in the council or the roads department gives a damn.

This lethargy has had an immensely negative effect on businesses situated on that side of town and, of course, no answers are forthcoming from anyone in the council.

Mamparas, aka town councillors, sit in their plush offices unable to light a fire under somebody’s backside to sort out this problem.

As for the rest of the town, it continues to look like a filthy toilet bowl, and again a lack of accountability shines through.

Time for the residents of this town to rise against those mamparas who have no clue.
