Show some appreciation to teachers
Respect your child's teacher and, most importantly, thank a teacher when you see one.

I am a local teacher. Boy, what a roller coaster it has been since March 2020.
The expectations of us as educators are huge!
Catching up on lost teaching and learning time, dealing with an enormous amount of administrative work, demands from parents and demands from our own families and children.
Amidst all of this, most of the people around us (including ourselves) neglect the emotional and mental well-being of teachers, those who truly are the backbone of our society.
Teachers are “deemed” lucky because they have holidays. Most teachers roll their eyes at such comments.
The amount of pressure we are under is immense. Covid-19 has hit us all, especially the education sector. It’s not only the learners who have been affected.
What I am trying to say is please appreciate our teachers. Respect your child’s teacher and, most importantly, thank a teacher when you see one.
They deserve a gold medal!
Teachers are shedding tears behind closed doors more often than you know, and when we feel valued and appreciated it makes everything so much better and easier.
