First ever Brakpan league season concludes
Although matches have been played throughout the year, last weekend was the first time all the clubs got together.
The newly formed Brakpan Local Football Association (BLFA) held its sports day last Saturday as clubs played in the finals of their various leagues and the Jansens Cup finals at the Brakpan Sports Grounds.
Although matches have been played throughout the year, last weekend was the first time all the clubs got together.
“It hasn’t been an easy season but with the hard work we put in with the exco members we made it possible,” said the association’s secretary Jabulani Munene.
“We kept kids around Brakpan out of the streets and away from doing wrong things such as smoking and drugs.
“As the secretary and fixture coordinator of the association, I’d like to thank all the BLFA exco members for their hard work and taking their time to make this happen. We believe that next season will be bigger than this,” said Munene.
