Bush getaway up for grabs
Local non-profit organisation holds raffle to help raise funds.
The Love Ones of God, a registered NPO in Brakpan North, is holding a raffle to assist with fund-raising.
Entry into the raffle is R100 and the prize is a seven-night bush getaway at the Dikhololo Resort 35km outside Brits, North West, in a six sleeper self-catering unit to the value of R23 500.
The dates are December 16 to 23.
Love Ones of God was established in 2001 and is situated along Abramowitz Street. It is home to 143 people, many of whom are pensioners or disabled.

There are 19 children in the organisation’s care, 11 of whom attend school. All its residents are provided with food, accommodation, clothing and transport.
The organisation is constantly raising funds to keep its cupboards, fridges and freezers sufficiently stocked.
Most of the funds generated go towards food, which inhibits other projects that require attention, such as replacing the wooden houses in which the people live with brick houses made with the organisation’s self-made bricks.
