Weekend crime round-up
An overview of crimes reported to Brakpan police from June 24 to 26.

The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:
Friday – A home in Cardigan Street, Dalview, was burgled of TVs, laptops, jewellery and other household goods.
• A black Honda motorbike was stolen from an address along Tweedy Road in Brenthurst.
• A woman was robbed of her cellphone at gunpoint in the parking lot of Mall@Carnival at 15:30. The woman was packing her shopping in the boot of her car when she was approached by a man who asked her the location of a specific shop in the mall.
He then threatened her with a firearm and demanded her cellphone and bank card. The woman handed over her belongings and the robber made his escape in a white Volkswagen Golf.
• A computer and groceries were stolen during a break-in at a residence along Station Road.
A suspect was later arrested.
Saturday – The driver of a white Toyota bakkie was hijacked along Siding Street in Dalview at around 07:00. After parking his vehicle, the victim was approached by a man armed with a pistol who instructed him to lie down.
The gunman was joined by an accomplice and the victim was searched and robbed of his cellphone and car keys.
The pair then got into the bakkie and drove off.
Sunday – A laptop was stolen during a burglary at a business in Lemmer Road, Vulcania.
