The Brakpan SAPS and CPF invited various crime-fighting role players in the community to participate in a crime prevention operation last Friday evening.
Patrollers turned out in numbers to ensure their presence was felt, and patrols were conducted throughout the Brakpan area.
Raids were carried out at certain sites and crime hotspots were given extra attention.

Several arrests were made.
The CPF thanked the dedicated volunteer patrollers from the different groups and various security companies who ensured the operation was a success.
Gratitude was also extended to Brakpan police station commander Brigadier Fredl Jonck and local SAPS members.
