Community unites against crime

Leachville residents work together to address issues in their area.

In an effort to address the ongoing issue of crime in Leachville, a meeting was recently held with members of the community, DA councillor for Ward 31 Simangele Sabe, SAPS, security guards and the local CPF.

“Recognising the negative impact crime has on our society, the DA in Leachville welcomes such initiatives where members of the community have united with various organisations to talk about the measures that can be taken locally to address the issue of lawlessness,” said Sabe.

“These efforts are a step in the right direction in keeping communities safe.

“The DA calls on all residents to work together and be united against crime, to regularly attend CPF meetings and work together with all the above-mentioned structures to keep Leachville safe.

“We believe that community safety is our collective responsibility.”
