Help make Christmas a magical one for Brakpan’s less fortunate
Rata Social Services will be holding its annual Christmas lunch. Here's how you can assist.
Christmas is a time of celebration and reaching out to those who are less fortunate. One of the highlights of the community of Brakpan is the Christmas lunch hosted by Rata Social Services.
This is more than just a lunch – it is a time when the organisation reaches out and makes a difference in so many people’s lives during this festive season.
The lunch will be held on December 15 at the Rata office at 38 Park Street (old clinic building).
The organisation plans to feed 300 people on the day and hopes to include a Christmas treat box comprising sweets and a small toy for 80 children.

Businesses and members of the community are welcome to contribute financially or by donating food items needed to make the meal.
Volunteers are also required to help prepare food on the day.
