Harvest Project appeals for donations after burglary
Food and other goods were stolen during the break-in.
An urgent plea has been made to community members to assist the Harvest Project NPO with donations after the kitchen on their premises at the Brakpan Synagogue was burgled over the weekend.
Food, cooking equipment and cutlery were stolen during the break-in. This is a major loss as the organisation provides daily meals to children.
“It will cost us funds that we don’t have to buy new items and secure the premises. Any donations will assist us greatly,” said Yakima Dengler Waner, founder and chairperson of the Harvest Project.
The organisation provides assistance through various projects and institutions, including The Harvest Centre of Judaism and Equality, Brakpan Shul, Blessings Eco Preparatory School, Harvest Education Eco Hub, The United Hebrew Institute of Brakpan and others.
