Developments at Soul Outreach promise major growth

The upliftment NPO continues to improve their services.

The Soul Outreach and Community Upliftment Centre’s offices are now at the Eric Holdtman Service Centre at Tweedy Park Old Age Home.

With the move and continued growth of the NPO comes a soup kitchen, a fundraising department and more projects.

The soup kitchen will start serving the public every Wednesday at 15:00 on October 23 at Tweedy Park.

The overnight shelter remains the same at 157 Hamilton Avenue and still asks R60 a night for a warm shower with toiletries, a hot meal, a bed with clean linen, and a fresh set of clothes if needed.

They are also collecting donations for their back-to-school project for 2025, and need donations of stationery, backpacks, school uniforms and school shoes.

The items can be secondhand but must be in good condition with no holes, stains or other damage.

On top of all the growing projects to uplift the community of Brakpan, they are now providing a job opportunity with the possibility of commission and a guaranteed salary.

Soul Outreach is looking for a fundraiser with skills in cold calling and relevant experience. Those interested can see director Martina Stickling at the Tweedy Park office on weekdays between 09:00 and 14:00.
