Stolen vehicle recovered by EMPD during by-law operation

The vehicle was recovered in the Plastic City informal settlement.

Between November 18 and 19, the EMP Eastern Region Task Team and Bronberg Precinct officers recovered a stolen motor vehicle during a by-law operation in Brakpan and Petit (Benoni).

The EMPD Eastern Region Task Team officers received a tip-off about a stolen motor vehicle and followed up on the information.

A vehicle matching the description, a white Nissan NP200, was spotted abandoned on Main Reef Road in the Plastic City informal settlement, and was taken to a police pound.

Meanwhile, the EMPD also responded to complaints about a trucking company at the corner of Pretoria and Jay roads in Benoni causing obstruction to traffic and posing a possible accident hazard.

Trucks and heavy earth-moving plants are prohibited from parking on the side of public roads. A verbal warning was given.
