Brakpan SPCA kennel supervisor honoured for decade of service
Animal welfare is a top priority for Bulelani "Lucky" Manci.
Described as an integral part of the Brakpan SPCA family, kennel supervisor Bulelani Manci was recently honoured for his unwavering dedication to animals. Bulelani, fondly known as Lucky, was recently awarded a certificate in recognition of his 10 years’ service at the local society.
“In June 2014, a young and eager 21-year-old Lucky joined the Brakpan SPCA team as a kennel hand. From the very beginning, Lucky displayed a natural affinity for animals and a genuine eagerness to learn,” said manager Tamaryn Lombard.
“Over the years, Lucky’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. One of his early aspirations was to obtain his driver’s licence, and with our support, he achieved this milestone.
“His dedication and natural way with animals shone through as he quickly mastered the skills to handle them with care and compassion.”
