Muso and talk show host moves up in the world

He hopes to drop his next single in June.

Mpho Ncholo, stage name ‘Taded’, is a 25-year-old Dalpark resident and musician on the up in his career. He has released more music since the Brakpan Herald last reported on his rise in the music ranks (Taded takes on hip hop world, June 24, 2023).

In addition, Taded has started a talk show on his Instagram called Turn On, Turn Offs, where he chats with various popular creators, especially women. He also does PR work for creators, small businesses and individuals.

He recently dropped the song Ishuu, featuring C-trix, which came with a social media challenge, and another called Take More Chances is on the way at the end of June.

Some of Taded’s music made it onto TV when he performed on Expressions on SABC 1. His most viral song is Elevate, featuring Touchline, which featured on the Ms Cosmo Show on 5FM, where it went from number five to number one on the hip-hop show.

It also featured on DJ Speedsta’s show, Absolute 5, on Metro FM.

“It was coming from winning below the surface for six weeks straight,” Taded said.

Taded hopes to go international with his music and get a regular TV spot for his show, Turn On, Turn Offs. His biggest inspiration is the late rapper AKA, whom he met in 2021 before he passed.

His advice for anyone who wants to enter the rap game is to be patient and do your research.

“You have to register on the right platforms and do your research. Surround yourself with the right people and don’t let opportunities pass you by,” he said.
