Epilepsy SA Springs branch calls for urgent donations
Epilepsy SA’s Gauteng branch is calling on the public to help ease the daily struggles of its residents through essential item donations.
Epilepsy South Africa’s Gauteng branch in Springs is calling on members of the public to visit and assist them by donating essential items to support people living with epilepsy.
The centre’s director, Aileen Langley, said the organisation provides care and support for people living with epilepsy and other disabilities, many of whom face not only health challenges but also deep social and economic hardship.
To continue offering a safe, dignified, and nurturing environment, the organisation is urgently seeking donations of essential items, including toiletries, clothes, blankets, shoes, food, paint, and curtains.
“These donations are not luxuries; they are necessities that help restore comfort, hygiene, and a sense of normalcy to the lives of our residents,” said Langley.
She explained that clean clothes and shoes provide confidence and protection, while blankets and curtains offer warmth and privacy.
Donated food brings nourishment and stability, and even a coat of paint can uplift the spirits of those who spend most of their time indoors due to medical conditions.
Langley concluded that the public’s support directly improves the quality of life for people who are too often overlooked.
“Every item donated brings hope, dignity, and care to someone in need. Together, we can create an environment where our residents not only feel safe but also feel valued and respected,” she said.
