Dalpark Ext 11 family robbed of valuables and bank funds in armed attack
Two armed intruders entered the home with the family, held them at gunpoint, and forced the man to log into his banking app.
A Dalpark Ext 11 man and his family were ambushed by two armed robbers while entering their Keats Street home on September 19.
Police information reveals the family were entering the house at about 19:20 when they were confronted by two armed intruders, who entered the premises at the same time.
One of the intruders pointed a firearm at the man and asked whether an individual with a specific surname resided at the premises.
The man was then instructed to sit on the floor and his head was covered with a blanket. The robbers proceeded to ransack the house, taking various valuables.
They also forced the victim to log into his banking app, after which they transferred a sum of money out of his account.
The value of stolen items and funds is estimated at over R100 000. The robbers then fled the scene. A house robbery case is under investigation by Brakpan SAPS.
