Brakpan weekend crime round-up: Pet killed, electronics stolen in Dalpark house robbery

An overview of crimes reported to Brakpan SAPS from October 17 to 19.

The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past weekend:

Friday – A trailer was stolen from the corner of High Street and Voortrekker Road. The trailer, which was hitched to a vehicle, contained tools .

• A house robbery was reported at an address along Plumbago Street in Dalpark.

Police were called to the scene just after 20:00. It is reported that two armed intruders made off with a TV and cellphones.

A dog on the property was killed. It is not stated how the dog was killed, but police retrieved a cartridge at the scene. No further information was disclosed.

• A kettle was stolen during a break-in at an address on Gardiner Avenue. The property was also broken into the previous day and a laptop was stolen.

Saturday – A battery was stolen from a vehicle parked at an address along Gardiner Avenue.

Sunday – A white Toyota Fortuner was stolen from Lower Road in Minnebron.
