UPDATE: Technicians waiting for parts to repair Mall@Carnival traffic lights

The control box of the traffic lights at the Mall@Carnival was damaged by lightning, and repairs may take time.

The traffic lights near the Mall@Carnival were hit by lightning on December 9, a day after being repaired.

A technician was on site on December 10, but found the components too badly damaged to immediately restore the traffic lights.

Replacement parts are awaited.

“We are trying to see what can be done to get the necessary parts for replacement, and will keep you updated,” said Erna Vermaak, the mall’s centre manager.

“We thank you for your patience regarding this as we understand your frustrations,” she said.
