Names of fallen officers added to Brakpan SAPS Wall of Remembrance
The wall pays tribute to the sacrifices made by police officers.
Brakpan SAPS station commander Brigadier Johanna Ngoma, flanked by the station’s senior officers, led proceedings on October 2 to unveil names that have recently been engraved on the local police station’s Wall of Remembrance outside the Client Service Centre.
The wall reflects the names of local police officers who have died.
The recently added names are Lieutenant Colonel Gloria Dalicuba, Detective Sergeant Brian Mngadi, and Constable Raymond Khoza.
EHW chaplain Captain Godfrey Booysens steered the official recognition with devotions, followed by Ngoma reading the names aloud.
The brigadier comforted members, and extended appreciation to the dedicated service rendered by the late officers.

Lieutenant Colonel Pearl Van Staad, in her vote of thanks, extended gratitude towards the families of the deceased officers, colleagues, all stakeholders for their support to SAPS members through bereavement, and to the company that erected and engraved the Wall of Remembrance.
“The Wall of Remembrance is aimed at recognising and honouring the late officers’ bravery and dedication,” said Brakpan SAPS social crime prevention and communications officer Constable Audrey Buthelezi.
“It also provides emotional support to family members and colleagues.
“Remembering the late SAPS officers serves as a reminder of the ongoing battle against crime and the bravery of those who fight it.
“The Wall of Remembrance is a tangible tribute to the sacrifices made by police officers, and a source of pride and support for the families and communities they serve.”
