
How many times does a person have to be warned first?
Do they not realise how sound travels, or do they not care?
Some will complain about a dog barking, but it is fine if they make a constant noise for nine hours.
What about those who work from home or who are working shifts?
Are the police not at liberty to sort out the problem while they are patrolling, or do they have to wait until it is reported to them?
Sometimes they are busy with more important calls and the problem may have stopped before they get there.
We still have the quad bikes racing up and down Pienaar Street and along the island, ripping up the grass.
Extremely loud bass can also be heard from blocks away.
This has been ongoing from the end of last year and they are all from the same house!
This last weekend the noise levels were excessive.
On Friday, there was car revving.
On Saturday, the noise started before 10am with the bass from a car.
Next up were two funerals played over loudspeakers.
Could they not face them in the opposite direction or lower the volume?
This was followed by a kids’s party, with constant shrieking and screaming — not just the average noise of kids having fun.
This carried on until after 3.30pm.
Later in the afternoon, a car was being revved every now and then.
Loud music could also be heard and this went on until after 23.40pm.
It was even possible to identify the lyrics.
Sunday saw loud music from early afternoon until 6.30pm, after which it was turned down a bit.
Next up was the periodic revving of the car again, from 5pm until 9.30pm.
