St Columba’s is ready to donate again

Anne Young, St Columba’s School, writes:

On Friday (June 5), when I picked up the Brakpan Herald in my driveway, my attention was caught by the picture on the front page, showing all the socks collected. Children donate 150 pairs of socks to help the needy

I thought that they looked familiar and, sure enough, when I read further, I realised they were the socks I delivered to your office last week!

Wow, what a super article you wrote regarding our school. We are a little school in the centre of Benoni, that was started by the Dominican Sisters in 1909 – a little school with a big, big heart!

Thank you so much for your article in the Herald. We have a number of families who live in Brakpan who will be thrilled to read this.

We will definitely send next year’s socks your way again!
