‘We don’t feel safe at home’

As soon as it starts getting dark we go inside and lock all our doors.

With reference to the article Egpaar leef in vrees na honde vergiftig is.

I am a 74-year old-pensioner who lives alone with my wife in Recreation Way in Anzac.

About two weeks ago, my wife awoke at about 4am when she heard someone trying to open our garage door.

She looked through the window and saw two men wearing blue overalls in our front garden.

She knocked on our window and shouted at them.

Their response was to look at her, and then casually stroll over our front lawn and jump over our six foot wall and disappear into the night.

No rush at all.

We certainly do not feel safe in our home.

As soon as it starts getting dark we go inside and lock all our doors.
