Benoni Flying Squad pays credit to Brakpan SAPS

The Brakpan community and us as colleagues can take pride in this experience.

WO Grant Giblin, Benoni Flying Squad communication officer, writes:

On October 10 at around 10pm, members of the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) recovered a hijacked vehicle on Heidelberg Road, Brakpan, with two arrests (Brakpan Herald, October 18, Two in cuffs for hijacking).

Brakpan SAPS was contacted to assist in arranging LCRC (Local Criminal Record Centre) in transporting the two suspects.

WO Riaan Nel and Sgt Nick Muller of BFS would like to express their gratitude to the whole of Brakpan SAPS D-Relief for the exemplary and professional service which they received.

From Sgt TW Maleka and Const MG Thetyana on BP28 who arrived at the scene with such willingness to assist, to Lt Col Ndlovu for leading the shift in such a manner and setting the example that filters down to your members, and to data typist DZ Futshane for handling members professionally and with such enthusiasm.

These are some of the names, but everyone on D-Relief who was met by our members made a lasting impression, expressing professional service delivery that any station commander can be proud of.

This must surely filter through to the public and community we all proudly serve.

The unit commander of BFS, Lt Col TD Lukhele, would also like to thank the members for the positive attitudes they reflect towards fellow colleagues.

BFS deals with police stations across Gauteng and it is inspiring to get feedback of such an encouraging nature.

The Brakpan community and us as colleagues can take pride in this experience.

Thanks again for the support and assistance.

Keep up the good work.
