Abandoned properties are an eyesore

With reference to ‘Vandalism of roadhouse leave a bad taste‘ in the Herald’s February 28 edition:

In Brakpan, we all know, that once a building is vacated, it is taken over by squatters and vandals.

Not only does this pose a health and safety risk, but it also becomes an eyesore.

Another example is Queen Avenue, especially the area behind Jet Stores.

Owners of these premises should start taking action.
