Dalpark take three points

Brakpan’s Dalpark Football Club (DFC) finally got their first win in the Benoni South League Football Association's Division One, against ACS.

Coach Brian Fray recently introduced some new players to the team, and this seemed to pay off for DFC.

Despite some of his players not pitching up to play, Fray said he was happy with the performance of his team.

The side went into the half-time break 1-0 up, and scored a second goal early in the second period, to lead by two, before conceding one goal to ACS.

“The boys regrouped from giving away the goal and we scored another two goals in succession to win 4-2,” said Fray

Goals were scored by Matome Mokwena (two), Egan Fray and Karabo Mokoena.

The team will be confident after picking up all the points on offer and will next meet Benfica, on Saturday, November 30, on the William Hills High School grounds, in Actonville.

Kick-off will be at 1.45pm.
