Tinkerbell’ returns against Cleland at EFC 32

Kruger returns to the hexagon.

Former middleweight title contender JP “Tinkerbell” Kruger will make his return to the hexagon at EFC Africa 32, at Carnival City, after a four-month absence.

He will take on Liam Cleland at Carnival City, on Thursday, August 7.

Tinkerbell’s last appearance was in his title fight against middleweight champion Gareth “Soldierboy” McLellan, in March, with Kruger emerging on the wrong side of the result.

The two, who will feature on the event’s main card, will be meeting for the very first time, with Kruger admitting to knowing little about his opponent.

Asked about Cleland, Tinkerbell responded: “I’ve never fought him before, but he’s got good ground skills.”

Kruger, who is trained and managed under the auspices of the Brakpan-based Xtreme Kickboxing Technologies (XKT) Pro League, is currently in the United States of America in preparation for the bout, having departed on Thursday, July 10.

“I’d like to thank the XKT Pro League for making all this [the trip] possible for me,” he said.

Some other mouthwatering title fight clashes will take place at EFC Africa 32, with tickets to the highly-anticipated fights between Henry “Herculeez” Fadipe and Adam “The Prodigy’ Speechly, and Boyd Allen and Barend “BB Gun” Nienaber, almost sold out.

Ardent EFC Africa fans are urged to book quickly if they do not want to miss these fights.
