The Benoni South Football Association (BSFA) Division One kicked off this weekend and last year’s sixth place finishers, Dalpark Football Club (DFC), started their campaign against FX Verneers.
Coach Brian Fray has brought in a few new players and they performed well.
The game started at a slow pace and DFC created a number of good chances, but could not put them away.
The team would, however, score before the halftime break.
Following a stern talk from Fray, the players came out firing in the second stanza and scored three more goals.
Karabo Mokoena scored a hat trick and Isack Tshabala netted one to see DFC win 4-0.
