Tiny Titans set to thrill

The Clash of the Tiny Titans event has been run by Brakpan’s shihan Raymond Phillips since 2012 and promises to be a true showcase of young kickboxing talent.

The ever popular ‘Clash of the Tiny Titans’ junior kickboxing tournament, for children aged 15 years and younger, comes to the Brakpan Indoor Sports Centre on February 24.

It is an open competition for all amateur kickboxers in the styles of semi, light contact, free style, musical forms and free style musical weapon forms.

The weigh-in takes place on the morning from 7.30am to 8.30am at the venue.

Proceedings will start at 9am with the officials’ briefing, with the competition beginning at 9.30am.

Divisions will be according to weight and age.

There will be a development MMA and no-gi grappling tournament happening at a later time on the day.

If there are any fighters who are interested in this division, feel free to enter.

The weigh-in will start at 10am to 11am.

Indemnity forms will be available at the venue.

These fights, sanctioned by Mixed Martial Arts South Africa (MMASA), will be held in a different hall.

The aim of Tiny Titans is to develop and build confidence in upcoming, developing fighters and prepared them for their future participation in Great North tournaments and national kickboxing events.

Entry is free to spectators.
