Valke downed by Eagles in final
The East Rand side looked good in the first half as they ran in three tries to the Eagles’ two with an enterprising attack, but the home team put together a comeback to win the match 36-27 and clinch the trophy for the first time since 2007.
The Valke just couldn’t deliver the goods when they played SWD Eagles in the final of the Currie Cup First Division at Outeniqua Park in George on the night of October 19.
