Local fighters excel at nationals
Four fighters from Xtreme Kickboxing Technologies (XKT) Brakpan were selected for the national team to represent South Africa.
The Mixed Martial Arts South Africa (MMASA) MMA National Championships were recently hosted in Brakpan while the South African Kickboxing Association (SAKA) Nationals were recently held in Oudtshoorn.
Darren Jacobs was selected for MMA, Darius Dekker for MMA and kickboxing, Eagan Kruger for kickboxing and Bowen Kruger for kickboxing.

The other team members brought back silver and bronze medals.
“We are proud of our fighters win or lose,” said XKT president shihan Raymond Phillips.
“It takes courage to get into a cage, onto a tetami or into the ring, to battle it out for top honours.”
