Horror cuts match short
Disaster struck when Brakpan Spurs faced Bedfordview in an away match on Saturday.
A Bedfordview player collapsed on the field with a suspected heart attack with 25 minutes of the game left.
The crowd was stunned as what was a closely fought contest ended in horror.
The home side were leading 2-1 after they had scored the opener in the first half, only for substitute Matthews Shange to break through and brilliantly set up Derick Mahlangu to tap in for the equaliser.

The match was then brought to a halt as with the match being postponed to a later date.
A player going down on the field is concerning and football fans remember the likes of Luyanda Ntshangase who lost his life while playing the game he loves.
Eighth-placed Spurs will face Elspark at the Brakpan Sports Grounds on Saturday.
“We are looking forward to our next match on Saturday,” said captain Jabulani Munemo.
“We believe that we’ll win the game.”
