Early Childhood Development to be placed under the microscope

ECD practitioners will come up with solutions to improve the quality of education and child care services.

Understanding the importance of investing in a child’s emotional, social and physical development to maximise his future well-being is amongst the Ekurhuleni Metro’s priorities.

Ekurhuleni will host the annual Early Childhood Development (ECD) Indaba today and tomorrow (December 3 and 4) at the Springs Civic Centre under the theme “Accelerating Sustainable and Integrated Early Childhood Development Services”.

Six-hundred ECD practitioners are expected to attend the two-day conference where they will come up with solutions to improve the quality of education and child care services they render.

The Springs Civic Centre is situated at the corner of Plantation and South Main Reef roads.

The indaba will be held from 9am to 4.30pm on both days.
