House robbers shot a resident of Khutsong Extension 5 during an incident on Sunday, 19 May.
The victim (36) and his girlfriend arrived at his home in the 50s at approximately 02:20 after attending a family function at her place in the same area.
They went into the house and started offloading goods from the car. The couple left the door to the house open while they were busy carrying everything in. Suddenly, two unknown Sotho-speaking men stormed into the house wearing balaclavas and wielding firearms.
“We do not have money,” the victim told them.
Without warning, the thugs shot him in the left shoulder.
They then grabbed the couple’s cell phones and ran away.
The ambulance rushed the victim to Carletonville Hospital.
