Armed house robbery in Blybank: Family tied up as gunmen empty victim’s bank account
Two men posing as thirsty visitors allegedly held three family members at gunpoint, tied them with cable ties and transferred money from a resident's bank account before fleeing in a blue VW Golf.

This incident took place in Sunbird Street on July 26.
One of the family members saw two men arriving in a blue VW Golf at about 15:50.
The strangers stopped in front of the home, climbed out and asked for water.
They suddenly pulled out firearms and forced the man (55) in his home.
They tied him and two other family members with cable ties and grabbed the first resident’s cellphone.
They forced him to give them his online banking details and transferred money from his account to theirs.
They then jumped back into their Golf and raced away.
