This is what you can expect from the 2018 FS/Madeira Flower Festival

Parys will host the third FS/Madeira Flower Festival on 7 & 8 December. Be sure to be there to see the 1km floral procession/carnival in the main street of Parys on 8 December, with 500 participants and five floral floats representing the Big 5 Tourism Routes in the Free State. More than 200 000 flowers will be used for the floral procession.

Draft Programme

Friday 7 December, C/o Breë & Van Coller Street, Parys

07:00 – Golf Tee Off at Vaal de Grace

14:00 – Opening of Floral Precinct

14:00 – Opening of China Food Festival

15:00 – Golf Prize Giving at Vaal de Grace

18:30 – Official Gala Dinner (per invite)

21:00 – Closure of Precinct

NB: Precinct Entertainment – China Cultural Activities/ Local DJ’s and Traditional Dancers.

Saturday 8 December, Breë Street, Parys

11:00 – Opening of Precinct (Executive Mayor of Ngwathe Joey Mochela)

15:00 – VIP Gathering at the Precinct

16:00 –  Opening of Parade

16:30 – Commencement of the Parade

18:00 – Completion of the Parade

19:00 – Commencement of the Concert

00:00 – Closure of Precinct

Sunday 9 December, Parys Golf & Country Estate & Country Lodge

10:00 – Commencement of Powerboat

17:00 – Powerboat Prize Giving

18:00 – Closure of the Powerboat event.

During the festive weekend a Bridal Expo will also be held at Egweni River Lodge in Van Coller Street, Parys. You can visit the Bridal Expo from 7-10 December from 10:00-16:00 daily. 

The Bridal Expo will address every need of the bride to be – from dresses, to make-up, photographers, decor, venues and more. 

Be sure that you visit Parys from 7-10 December for this spectacular event.
